Proton has introduced the new e.MAS 7 Premium Plus at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026), expanding its electric SUV lineup with a stronger focus on range, comfort, and feature enhancements. The wider e.MAS 7 lineup continues alongside the new variant, offering multiple battery options and configurations.
The new variant builds on the existing e.MAS 7 range, which has already gained strong traction in Malaysia’s growing EV market. The model line-up has recorded steady momentum, with significant deliveries contributing to Proton’s expanding electrified portfolio.
At the core of the Premium Plus update is a larger 68.39 kWh AEGIS Short Blade Battery, enabling an estimated WLTP driving range of up to 450 km. This marks a notable improvement over the existing variants and is aimed at improving long-distance usability as well as everyday practicality.
Despite the larger battery, DC fast charging remains rated at up to 115 kW, allowing a 30–80% charge in approximately 20 minutes. AC charging continues at 11 kW, with a full charge taking around 6.7 hours.
Performance remains mechanically unchanged, with the front-mounted electric motor producing 218 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The SUV completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.4 seconds, while the added battery capacity increases kerb weight to 1,815 kg.

The key upgrades in the Premium Plus are focused on interior comfort. It introduces dual front massage seats, a powered front passenger seat with 4-way adjustment and memory function, and an integrated leg rest for improved long-distance comfort. It also retains features such as a 16-speaker Flyme Sound System with headrest speakers, a windshield head-up display, and a self-dimming rear-view mirror.
Driver assistance systems remain consistent with the Premium variant, including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, active lane change assist, evasive manoeuvre assist, front cross traffic alert, and traffic sign recognition.

In our market, the e.MAS 7 is available in two variants — Prime and Premium. Both variants are equipped with a front-mounted electric motor that generates 160 kW of power and 320 Nm of torque, supported by a 12-in-1 electric motor system, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds.
The Prime variant is powered by a 49.52 kWh LFP battery offering a 345 km WLTP range, along with 18-inch alloys, a 15.4-inch 2.5K display, remote functions, and Level 2 ADAS.
The Premium variant upgrades to a 60.22 kWh LFP battery with a 410 km WLTP range, 19-inch alloys, a 16-speaker Flyme Sound System, a windshield HUD, and ventilated front seats.
The Prime variant is priced at Rs 46.99 lakh, while the Premium variant is priced at Rs 67.99 lakh.
